CONVERTOR with EVAPORATIVE COOLER

 

 

S-H Industrial rated “ConvertoR” and Combination Coolers are packaged systems specifically designed for producing industrial or agricultural grade ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH). Each unit has: A Spencer-Harris Chemical Plants Division patented Instantaneous Reaction Jet (ASME Code), process water/recycle booster pump, forged steel fittings and schedule 80 ammonia piping, 150# fittings and schedule 40 water and recycle piping, both the ammonia and water/recycle lines have check valves and multi turn throttling valves, most units are provided with water and ammonia flow indicator for field installation externally, S-H Safety view tester with unique “Non-Spin” hydrometer reading in percent ammonia, sample/scrubber return pumping system, panel mounted back pressure gauge, panel mounted process water and ammonia pressure gauges, Reaction Temperature Gauge with high and low pre-sets which activate a 100 db alarm. The coolers are forced air, counter flow design and an integral part of the unit. The coolers consist of one or more tube axial fans, drift eliminator section, spray system, plate coils, water catch basin and one or more cooler pumps. All units are built for 3/60/230 V.A.C. service with other voltages optionally available. A circuit breaker and motor starting relay with overloads are provided for each motor. All the electrical components are housed in a N.E.M.A. 4 stainless steel enclosure with N.E.M.A. 4 push buttons and pilot lights. Each ConvertoR is wired with a splitter block for the customers’ high voltage connection. A terminal point for 1/60/120 V.A.C. is also provided for incoming control power.  All motors are T.E.F.C.

 

Every unit is a quality package designed with the customer in mind. All components and materials are selected for long trouble free service and mounted on or housed in an all steel cabinet with large access doors and removable panels. The units are easily placed on a concrete slab by lift rings provided on all four corners. Butt and 100% welds are used extensively in areas that would otherwise result in an unpainted metal surface. Critical areas receive a tarmastic coat prior to a final all weather coating. ALL S-H Chemical Plants Division equipment is backed by virtually 100% inventory of parts for immediate emergency service.
